VillageCare Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a senior living provider in New York, New York that offers residents Nursing Homes. It was very clean and had a lot of options for those who live there and it seems to have very high across the board ratings from those who have been there or who have family there. It is in the village in downtown nyc so it is a busy neighborhood and that energy is good for the place as well as the residents. The staff of nurses, nurse aides and rehabilitation specialists are there to help you and are professional and very helpful. We continue to exercise necessary precautions consistent with state DOH and CDC guidance including monitoring temperature of staff and residents and looking for other signs and symptoms of the virus. Patients that develop symptoms will be dealt with on a case by case basis and their families will be informed.

And it is not hygienic because you have all that dust and stuff that gets in the carpeting. They did have a rehab exercise group that met on the weekends because the regular rehab people were not around. They would ask you to join in the circle; you were seated -- some of us had wheelchairs, some were ambulatory -- and they would ask you to demonstrate how you were doing. I never was taken out of any of these facilities particularly with Village Care. They would say we were going to take you out on the sidewalk, we want you to get used to walking around, but it never once happened to me there, and I always reminded them.

They always had people, but they were never on the premises when I wanted to speak with them, and things that were remiss never got really addressed. Moreover, the services that Village Caregiving employees are allowed to provide vary slightly by state. That’s a question for the care facility to answer, although I would agree with @Borgney that the costs are likely dependent on the level of assistance that is needed for each resident. It’s also possible that depending on the level of assistance needed, the couple may need to be housed separately, so there wouldn’t be a ‘second person’ in the same apartment.
Patients who had a hard time moving were forced to wait until they were served and for a nursing home. I feel that there should be two workers available to help for every one patient. The nursing home itself looked very sanitary but there was not much for the patients to do there.
